Terms of Service

By accessing or using Roux, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any policies referenced here, including our Privacy Policy. If you are using Roux on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Caldwell Growth Partners, LLC d/b/a GUMBO, the operator of Roux ("Roux," "we," "us," or "our").

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you use Roux through an organization, additional terms between that organization and Roux may apply.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for ensuring that users you invite or authorize use the Service in compliance with these Terms.

You may use Roux only for lawful business or internal organizational purposes. You may not misuse the Service, interfere with its normal operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, reverse engineer the Service except where prohibited by law, or use Roux to store or transmit material that is unlawful, infringing, harmful, or deceptive.

You may not use Roux to violate the terms or rights of a connected service or any third party; collect or expose personal information without a lawful basis; send malware or hidden instructions; evade safety controls; or use connector access beyond the workspace and permissions granted to you.

You retain ownership of the prompts, interview content, files, responses, recordings, notes, and other materials you submit to Roux. You grant Roux a limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service for you.

You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed for Customer Content and for any instructions you send through an AI client. You are responsible for configuring respondent notices, access settings, and sharing links appropriately and for avoiding the submission of information that you are not authorized to process.

Roux offers a remote Model Context Protocol connector that lets ChatGPT and compatible clients call Roux tools on your behalf. You must sign in with OAuth and authorize one Roux workspace. Subject to your role and the tool you invoke, a connector may search and retrieve Roux records, return live status or synthesis information, create a Roux, or start a synthesis job. Tool output may be added to your AI-client conversation.

Review tool requests and results before approving or relying on them. You are responsible for actions you authorize, including records created and usage credits charged through your account. You may revoke future access by disconnecting Roux in the AI client. AI client providers do not operate, endorse, or assume responsibility for Roux, and Roux does not control their services or their handling of your conversations.

Roux includes AI-assisted features that may generate summaries, suggested questions, classifications, or other output. Generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular use case. You are responsible for reviewing and validating output before relying on it for decisions, operations, or communications.

Roux may interoperate with third-party services such as identity providers, source control tools, issue trackers, messaging platforms, hosting providers, and AI model providers. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for third-party products or services.

If Roux offers paid plans, pricing, billing terms, and plan limits may be described separately in the Service or in an order form. We may change or update the Service, including features and limits, from time to time. We may also update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page.

Unless an order form says otherwise, fees are charged in the currency and on the schedule shown at checkout, taxes may be added, and payments are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel a subscription before renewal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We will provide notice of material pricing changes as required by law.

Roux and its related software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by the Service operator and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

We may suspend or terminate access to Roux if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, or used the Service in a way that could harm Roux, our users, or third parties. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. You may delete your account in Settings, subject to resolving ownership of team workspaces and any legal-retention requirements. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and general terms—will survive.

Roux is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service operator and its affiliates, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenues, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of Roux.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, the total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts paid by you for Roux during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Service operator and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service operator regarding Roux, unless superseded by a separate written agreement. If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Notices may be delivered electronically, including through the Service or to the email address associated with your account.
